The Operational Services directorate is accountable for delivering the right sites, in the right locations, always accessible and always on. It undertakes the operation, enablement, and management of the network infrastructure to enable EE/BT and Three to deliver their best customer experiences at the lowest cost.

The Site Operations Manager will lead and proactively manage all Spares & Site Operations.

What you can expect to be doing:

  1. Own, and continuously improve the methodologies, processes, systems, controls, capabilities and relationships required for management of site spares and site operational maintenance.
  2. Be accountable for the leadership and proactive management of all aspects of spares, sites and safety assurance on behalf of the Senior Site Operations Manager.
  3. Proactively manage the delivery of operational spare part management services by the supplier ecosystem against contractual obligations and industry benchmarks.
  4. Be accountable for the assurance, approval and maintenance of detailed plans for the management of operational spare parts based on service requirements, current state inventory, utilisation, asset lifecycle stage, failure statistics, lead times and incremental service demand.
  5. In conjunction with the MBNL Logistics Team, be responsible for the procurement of operational spare parts in accordance with detailed plans and operational readiness and acceptance processes.
  6. Be responsible, in conjunction with the MBNL Health and Safety Team, for the proactive management of the operations supplier ecosystem against MBNL Health and Safety standards, policies and guidelines.
  7. Be responsible, in conjunction with the MBNL Health and Safety, for the proactive management of out of bounds sites and establishing safe systems of work that enable operational service to be maintained until the site is returned to in bounds status.
  8. Work with the MBNL Commercial Management Team, for the proactive management of approved repair agents’ suppliers to agreed business outcomes and performance targets.

What we are looking for:

  1. Strong experience of establishing, developing and leading a spares and sites operations function to achieve agreed business outcomes, performance targets and industry benchmarks.
  2. Detailed knowledge of the methodologies, processes and capabilities required to deliver best in class technical and business services.
  3. Strong experience of managing, motivating, monitoring, and improving performance of contractors and suppliers.
  4. Strong experience of building deep, effective relationships and an appreciation of organisational politics. An ability to use these to socialise and influence stakeholders.
  5. Experience of working with, briefing, and influencing senior members of leadership teams.
  6. Experience of managing the natural tensions between customer, commercial and technical requirements.
  7. Experience of bringing industry best practice into an organisation and using this to drive continuous improvement and knowledge of how to lead and manage high performance teams.

Nice to have:

  1. Experience of managing remotely located, cross-functional teams.
  2. Strong safety/quality/compliance knowledge of mobile or fixed network technologies.
  3. Experience of working in or with a JV organisation.
