Involve Recruitment are looking for a skilled and experienced Site Manager with expertise in envelope and roofing to manage a high-profile, large-scale industrial project in South Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to lead a key phase of a major construction project. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience working on large-scale industrial or commercial projects, a solid history of long-term employment, and a track record of successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of envelope and roofing operations on-site, ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and the project team to ensure smooth delivery of all envelope and roofing works.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety standards, health and safety regulations, and project specifications.
  • Collaborate with senior project managers and other stakeholders to ensure the project stays on track and any challenges are addressed proactively.
  • Review and approve technical specifications, plans, and drawings, ensuring all work is in line with the project's requirements.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including site records, progress reports, health and safety documentation, and other project-related paperwork.
  • Monitor the procurement of materials, ensuring timely delivery and cost control.
  • Ensure quality control is maintained at all stages of the envelope and roofing work, overseeing site inspections and defect resolution.
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day site operations, ensuring smooth coordination and effective communication between all parties involved.

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Site Manager with expertise in envelope and roofing systems, particularly on large-scale industrial or commercial projects.
  • A strong record of long-term employment with reputable construction companies; we seek candidates with stability in their careers and a proven commitment to their roles.
  • Relevant qualifications, including SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme), CSCS card, First Aid, and other construction industry certifications.
  • Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience of roofing and envelope construction, with the ability to oversee all technical aspects of the project.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in managing large teams and subcontractors.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • A proactive, solution-oriented approach to managing challenges and meeting project deadlines.
  • A meticulous attention to detail and a strong focus on maintaining high health and safety standards on-site.
