Site Manager (Fire Protection)
Location: Cheshire
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Ongoing
Rate: £270 per day

Site Manager - Cheshire - Waste to Energy Plant - Fire Protection Install - Ongoing
I'm working with a specialist subcontractor delivering fire protection works on a large-scale Waste to Energy plant currently under construction in Cheshire.

This role will see you managing the day-to-day site operations for the fire protection installation, reporting directly to a site-based Project Manager. The project is at an exciting phase, with complex and high-spec packages underway.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Site Supervision:
    Oversee the daily installation of fire protection systems across the plant.
    Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
    Coordinate site labour, subcontractors, and materials to maintain programme.
  2. Communication & Reporting:
    Report into the Project Manager with daily updates and progress reports.
    Liaise with main contractor site teams and other trades to ensure smooth operations.
  3. Health & Safety:
    Enforce site safety protocols and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
    Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks as needed.
  4. Quality Assurance:
    Monitor quality of installations and address any defects or reworks.
    Maintain accurate site records and documentation.

Skills and Qualifications:
Experience as a Site Manager on M&E or fire protection packages, ideally on industrial or infrastructure schemes.
CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid are essential.
Strong understanding of fire stopping, compartmentation, and associated systems is highly desirable.
Ability to manage teams effectively and maintain high safety and quality standards on site.
