Site Manager - Broadnook, England

In a Nutshell… We have a new opportunity for a Site Manager to join our team within Vistry South Central Midlands, at our Broadnook site in Leicester. As our Site Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a construction site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards. You will manage teams, coordinate resources, enforce health and safety regulations, and liaise with contractors, suppliers, partners, and customers.

  1. Oversee site operations to ensure adherence to specifications, timelines, and budgets.
  2. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safety culture.
  3. Direct labour, equipment, and resources to achieve project completion on time and within budget.
  4. Monitor project progress, addressing delays, risks, or issues promptly.
  5. Conduct regular site inspections to assess quality, safety, and progress.
  6. Coordinate with the Buying and Surveying teams to ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
  7. Manage site teams, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  8. Attend weekly meetings with the site sales executive.
  9. Ensure permits and inspections are in place before and during the project.
  10. Conduct site inductions for new personnel and subcontractors on health and safety procedures.
  11. Maintain accurate records of site activities and project documentation.
  12. Support site logistics to ensure proper material storage and availability.
  13. Oversee project closeout, ensuring all tasks are completed and documentation submitted.
  14. Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations.
  15. Develop and lead staff to maintain high morale and performance.
  16. Support training and development of team members.
  17. Ensure 100% compliance with NHBC standards and building regulations.
  18. Conduct appraisals and address development needs with HR support.
  19. Ensure a harassment-free work environment.
