Job description
Site Manager School Build
Fairmead is hiring on behalf of a valued client for an experienced Site Manager to lead the construction of a single-storey science block on a live school site in Sittingbourne.
Job Details:
Location: Sittingbourne
Shifts: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Duration: 40 weeks
The Role:
As Site Manager, you will oversee daily site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, and to a high standard. You will manage subcontractors and logistics while keeping disruptions to the school to a minimum.
This is a hands-on role, so we are looking for someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and work alongside the team when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing all site operations to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
Managing and coordinating subcontractors and site personnel
Ensuring strict compliance with H&S regulations and school site protocols
Communicating effectively with the client, school representatives, and project stakeholders
Problem-solving on-site to keep the project on track
What You Need:
SMSTS
DBS check (Enhanced is preferred)
First Aid at Work certification
CSCS card
Proven experience managing construction projects on live school sites
A proactive attitude - this role needs someone who’s hands-on and ready to get involved
