Site Manager

The Site Manager at Rampton Hospital will provide management and leadership for the entire site for specified shifts within an agreed framework across a 24 hour, 7 days a week ensuring key operational and clinical targets are achieved, maintaining patient safety.

The post holder will be part of the Site Management Team responsible for taking an on-site lead in operational issues working across the hospital and providing a visible presence in all patient areas.

You will need to demonstrate excellent leadership skills to review, allocate, deploy and coordinate clinical qualified and non-qualified resources across the nursing pathway for Rampton Hospital across each shift throughout the 24 hour, seven days per week.

Main Duties of the Job

• Clinical Site Management of the Rampton Hospital site across the 24-hour span of care.
• Leadership of resources working across the hospital.
• Major incident management leadership.
• Expertise in the operation of the e-Roster system in order to manage resources and plan for resource demands moving forwards.

• Qualified Registered Mental Health Nurse or Registered Learning Disability Nurse.
• Active on NMC Register.
• Masters degree/ postgraduate diploma and postgraduate experience equivalent to a masters degree.
• Clinical Leadership Development.
• Significant post-registration experience with experience as Team Leader level or above.
• Experience of managing complex situations and/or incidents.
• Experience of staff management, including disciplinary matters.
• Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience of providing clinical supervision.
• Knowledge of how to navigate Operational Management/Site Management and Command situations.
• Knowledge of Rostering and Shift Management.
• Ability to work under pressure and make decisions as required.
• Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
• Exemplar leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assimilate information.
• To be flexible and be able to work a variety of shifts over 24-hour period 7 days a week.
• Post Graduate healthcare or management qualification.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development.

• Experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience of providing clinical supervision.
• Dealing with patient and carer complaints.
• Previous experience of leading a team and managing an acute area.
• Thorough understanding of bed management systems/principles.
• Experience in teaching/developing others.
• Experience of providing management supervision.

Knowledge
