Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 + Package
Location: London Docklands

Project: Design and construction of a nine-storey data centre
Contract Value: £230m
Duration: 3 years

Experience Required:

• Data Centre experience
• Base build or heavy industrial experience

The Opportunity

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager / Construction Manager to join a leading contractor on a flagship £230m data centre project in London Docklands. This role involves overseeing major structural and fit-out works, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Project Overview

This ambitious development will be delivered in phases and includes:

• Large diameter pile installation, ground beam substructure and pile caps
• Heavy structural steel frame (9 floors)
• Composite cladding and outer rainscreen
• Two precast concrete central core areas
• MEP infrastructure and full fit-out of data halls (Levels 1 & 2)
• Below-ground drainage and critical services infrastructure
• External works and link bridge to an existing campus north building
• Construction of a single-storey security gatehouse

Your Role & Responsibilities

As the Site Manager / Construction Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Managing and coordinating on-site activities to align with the project timeline.
• Overseeing subcontractors and ensuring high-quality workmanship.
• Implementing and maintaining stringent health and safety standards.
• Conducting site inspections, resolving issues, and ensuring smooth project progression.
• Maintaining accurate site documentation, including daily reports and safety records.

What You Need

To be successful in this role, you should have:

• Proven experience as a Site Manager or Construction Manager on major building projects.
• Data centre, base build, or heavy industrial construction experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
• A deep understanding of health and safety regulations.

• Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 (depending on experience)
