South London £50,000 - £55,000 + Package Planned Maintenance & Retrofit | Tier 1 Contractor
Are you a hands-on Site Manager with a passion for sustainability and improving social housing? Join a leading Tier 1 contractor delivering high-impact retrofit and refurbishment projects backed by the Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF).
As Site Manager, you will take ownership of live sites across a varied portfolio of occupied social housing. You will lead the safe and efficient delivery of planned works and energy efficiency upgrades in line with SHDF objectives.
Key duties include:
Managing day-to-day site operations and coordinating subcontractors and operatives.
Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
Monitoring compliance with SHDF and PAS2035 retrofit requirements.
Liaising with residents, clients, and internal teams to maintain strong communication.
Driving quality control, health and safety, and environmental best practices.
Reporting progress, snagging, and managing handovers.
Minimum Requirements:
Proven experience managing planned maintenance and refurbishment works in social housing.
Practical knowledge of SHDF, retrofit coordination, and PAS2035 standards.
Experience with kitchen & bathroom replacements, window/door upgrades, roofing, and external wall insulation.
CSCS card, SMSTS certification, and a full UK driving licence.
NVQ Level 4+ or HNC in Construction (or equivalent).
Strong communication and people management skills.
RICS or MCIOB membership (or working towards) is a bonus.
