I have an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager on a contract basis. The position will be based in Dorset and starting in September.

The Job Role:

  • Project Planning and Coordination:
    • Collaborate with engineers and contractors to develop project plans and timelines.
    • Ensure all design and construction activities comply with CDM regulations.
    • Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Health and Safety Management:
    • Develop and implement health and safety plans for construction projects.
    • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
    • Provide training and guidance to site personnel on health and safety practices.
  • Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate records of project progress, including design changes and safety inspections.
    • Prepare and submit regular reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.
    • Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Monitor and manage risks throughout the project life-cycle.
    • Ensure all risk assessments are conducted and documented.

Education & Experience:

  • Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction project management.
    • In-depth knowledge of CDM regulations and health and safety standards.
    • Strong organisational and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Certification in health and safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
    • Experience with large-scale construction projects.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Rate & Hours:

£50/hour (Outside IR35)

Direct reimbursement of business expenses only.

Nominal 39-hour per working week:

Monday-Thursday: 08:00 am to 17:00 pm (8.5 hr-days)

Friday: 08:00 am to 13:00 pm (5 hr-day)

Lunch Break: 1-hour taken between 12:00 pm and 13:00 pm Monday-Thursday.
