Site Manager

I have an exciting opportunity for a Site Manager on a contract basis. The position will be based in Dorset and starting in September.

The Job Role:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Collaborate with engineers and contractors to develop project plans and timelines.
- Ensure all design and construction activities comply with CDM regulations.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Health and Safety Management:
- Develop and implement health and safety plans for construction projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Provide training and guidance to site personnel on health and safety practices.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, including design changes and safety inspections.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and accessible.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and manage risks throughout the project life-cycle.
- Ensure all risk assessments are conducted and documented.
Education & Experience:
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction project management.
- In-depth knowledge of CDM regulations and health and safety standards.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Preferred Skills:
- Certification in health and safety management (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH).
- Experience with large-scale construction projects.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Rate & Hours:
£50/hour (Outside IR35)
Direct reimbursement of business expenses only.
Nominal 39-hour per working week:
Monday-Thursday: 08:00 am to 17:00 pm (8.5 hr-days)
Friday: 08:00 am to 13:00 pm (5 hr-day)
Lunch Break: 1-hour taken between 12:00 pm and 13:00 pm Monday-Thursday.
