Site Manager – Residential Groundworks
Location: Derby, East Midlands
Salary: Up to £80,000 including package

Job Overview:
This Site Manager Role will see the successful applicant being responsible for overseeing the daily operations on-site, ensuring that groundworks projects are executed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. They will manage site staff, subcontractors, and ensure compliance with industry standards, client specifications and health & safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management.
  2. Lead and manage civil engineering and groundworks projects from inception to completion.
  3. Monitor and coordinate all on-site activities, including excavation, foundations, drainage and utilities installation.
  4. Ensure adherence to the project plan, specifications and timeline.
  5. Manage and supervise direct labour, subcontractors and suppliers.
  6. Review drawings and plans to understand project requirements.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in site management, ideally within groundworks.
  2. Strong knowledge of groundworks (excavation, foundations, drainage, earthworks) and groundworks practices.
  3. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  4. Strong understanding of construction health and safety standards.
  5. Proficiency in project management software and MS Office applications.

Remuneration:
Up to £80,000 p,a plus package
