Site Manager

We have a great opportunity for a Site Manager working with a fit out contractor in Cambridge on a £3m fit out project.

The projects they complete are valued between £750k - £3m and will be a mix of fast track fit out and large fit out projects. You will be responsible for managing the site and will have to be quite an expert in logistics due to them being live environments.

You will be reporting to the Project Manager daily. Whilst managing the site, you must also be maintaining a high standard of health & safety, managing works around the general public while ensuring the project is completed on time and within budget.

The project is working in a live environment throughout the day within a train station working to a tight programme, so it is essential that the manager is a programme pusher. The project will involve issuing work permits, managing H&S, managing sub-contractors, and conducting client meetings.

The ideal Site Manager must have:

1. CAT A / B and/or shop fit out experience
2. Longevity in roles with some of the contractors in the industry
3. Experience in delivering commercial fit outs
4. Experience and understanding of the floor plate of the building
5. Understanding of programmes and ability to handle minutes efficiently
6. Experience successfully running fit out projects as a Site Manager on commercial projects
7. Interpersonal skills so you can get on with the rest of the team
8. SMSTS, First Aid, Fire Marshall and Black Card/NVQ Level 6 certs
