Job description

Location: Barking, UK / Fully site-based

Job Type: Full-Time

Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Mon – Fri, plus one Saturday per month

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 per annum

Department: Construction

Reports To: Head of Insulation

Job Summary: We are currently looking for a Site Manager to join our operations team. You will be responsible for supervising and managing the daily operations at our site. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with company policies, overseeing the work of employees and contractors, and maintaining site safety standards. You will also be responsible for coordinating with other departments to ensure efficient workflow and resolving any issues or conflicts that arise.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the delivery of operations on site, ensuring and take responsibility to achieve projects targets in line with time, quality.
  2. Ensure that all works are supervised and co-ordinated to deliver on safety and quality standards.
  3. Manage site productivity levels by maximising people and material utilization.
  4. Ensure minimal material wastage occurs during the work in progress.
  5. Monitor progress, oversee delivery of materials and carry out safety checks and sort out any problems which could hold up work as they arise.
  6. Reporting any problems or delays as well as keep management up to date with general progress.
  7. Ensure that the deadline for completing work is met and work done for the full satisfaction of the client.
  8. Ensure that documentation formalities at client’s end have been completed timely.
  9. Ensure that work complies with building regulations and health and safety legislation as well as other legal requirements.
  10. Keep confidential records and financial information private and secure.
  11. Any other role & responsibility assigned by the management.

Qualifications:

  1. Full UK driving licence
  2. SMSTS - Site Management Safety Training Scheme

Skills and Knowledge:

  1. Good knowledge of construction work, health & safety regulations.
  2. Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously with limited direction.
  3. Able to plan work well organized and work under pressure to make decisions.
  4. Active listening skills, building customer loyalty.
  5. Excellent organizational resilience, honest and has integrity.
  6. Necessary courses approved by the Chartered Institute of Building.
  7. Ability to work as a team and on own initiative.
  8. To be flexible and love a challenge and client satisfaction.
