Site Lead I And C Commissioning Engineer

Astute's EPC Power team is partnering with a leading EPC Contractor within the UK Power Industry to recruit a Site Lead C&I Commissioning Engineer to join one of the teams at their EFW plant based in Cheshire.

The Site Lead C&I Commissioning Engineer role comes with a day rate from £500.00 to £550.00.

Key skills and responsibilities:

1. Leading the team of C&I Commissioning Engineers and Technicians throughout the commissioning of electrical components and instruments such as motorized and pneumatic valves, instruments, transmitters, loop checks, etc.
2. Carrying out testing on instrumentation against the whole loop (DCS to field), as well as system optimization and troubleshooting and filling-in the respective commissioning documentation and protocols.
3. Carrying out calibration or verification of the calibration using HART communicator, current/voltage generator etc.
4. Cooperation with internal team members, guidance and coordination of external partners and sub-contractors, interacting with customers.
5. Work closely with the Leads for the other disciplines.
6. Ensure all the activities conducted on site follow the correct process in accordance with project requirements and in strict compliance with all EHS requirements.
7. Coordination of all necessary activities with all involved parties, such as commissioning team, erection team and sub-contractors.
8. Participation in the walk-downs for Turnover from construction to commissioning, identifying open items that prevent system start-up.
9. Preparation and update of the commissioning procedures to be conducted on site.
10. Provide theoretical and practical training to customer personnel.
11. Provide updates to the Commissioning Manager on site.

Cheshire
£500.00 to £550.00 per day
