An established industry player is seeking a skilled Site Engineer to join their team on the A249 Grovehurst scheme. This role involves setting out and overseeing civil engineering works, including earthworks and road make-ups. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in delivering complex projects and will be adept at using robotic total stations for surveys. You'll collaborate with subcontractors and ensure all operations adhere to quality and safety standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure improvements while working in a dynamic environment.

Minimum 5 years experience delivering complex projects.
Relevant CSCS required for site work.

Setting out using total stations and traditional methods.
Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental policies.

Site Engineer - Setting out Engineer - Outside IR35 - Site Engineer Civils -
We have a need for a freelance site engineer (without kit) on the A249 Grovehurst scheme.

Site Engineer / Setting out Engineer role details:

To upgrade the Grovehurst junction on the A249. Works comprise earthworks, various road make-ups including the use of CBGM, installation of new services, drainage, kerbs and tarmac surfacing.

Experience required:

Highways setting out and surveys with robotic total station
Locating existing services
Working around live services
Completing QA check sheets and diary
Working with subcontractors

Key Responsibilities:

Setting out using total stations and undertaking traditional setting out
Reading and reviewing construction drawings
Undertaking basic take-offs
Raising technical queries with designers and other members of the client team
Ensuring all work complies with quality, safety and environmental policies and the requirements of the company procedures
