Job description

Site Engineer / Senior Engineer - Rail

Location: London / Home Counties

Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 negotiable dependent on experience plus car / van, fuel car and package

Summary

A successful railway infrastructure contractor specialising in track installation & signalling is looking to hire an experienced site / setting out engineer to join their team on prestigious rail projects in the South of England.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Setting out and monitoring of works on site.
  2. Conduct ITPs and some Work Package Plans.
  3. Conduct site surveys and ensure the correct levels and measurements are established.
  4. Ensure quality control requirements are met and recorded in accordance with specifications.
  5. Operate and promote a high standard of health and safety and environment compliance.
  6. Raising of technical queries.
  7. Ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications.
  8. Implementing stringent quality control measures through regular inspections, ensuring that all project aspects meet the high standards set by both industry regulations and client specifications.

Requirements:

  1. A degree or HND in a relevant subject would be desirable.
  2. Previous experience working within the railway environment.
  3. Pway / Civils experience.
  4. Proficiency in using total stations, GPS equipment, and other surveying tools.
  5. PTS/CSCS card.
  6. Track related competencies desirable.
