Position: Site Engineer / Senior Site Engineer (Permanent)

Location: North East England

Company: Leading Civil Engineering Contractor

We are looking to hire a permanent Site Engineer or Senior Site Engineer for a reputable civil engineering main contractor, specialising in a wide range of projects across the North East of England.

Our company delivers highways, roads, 278 works, public realm projects, structures, and general groundworks up to DPC level. Project sizes vary between £500k and £10 million, offering a diverse and exciting portfolio of work.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Setting out a variety of civil engineering elements, including but not limited to foundations, kerbs, drainage, roads, and retaining walls.
2. Managing project site works independently, with minimal supervision.
3. Operating one-person total stations and using AutoCAD software for project tasks.

Candidate Requirements:

1. A HND or higher qualification in Civil Engineering.
2. Proficiency in using AutoCAD and one-person total stations.
3. A full, valid driving licence to access various sites across the region.
4. The ability to work autonomously, as you may be the sole engineer on certain projects depending on scale and complexity.
5. A CSCS card is essential. SSSTS or SMSTS certification is desirable but not essential, as we can support the right candidate in obtaining these qualifications.
