Site Engineer - Rail Projects
Birmingham | 6-month rolling contract | £300 per day (Outside IR35)

This leading rail contractor has a proven track record of delivering high-profile infrastructure projects. From station refurbishments and platform extensions to signalling bases, depot remodelling, and bridge reconstructions, they play a crucial role in shaping the UK's railway network.

The Role
As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of rail projects by:

  1. Setting out and controlling dimensions of works.
  2. Conducting take-offs and monitoring progress.
  3. Maintaining daily site records and reporting changes.
  4. Managing material reconciliations.
  5. Updating drawings/documents to reflect revisions.
  6. Upholding quality records as per Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
  7. Producing as-built drawings and records.

The Ideal Candidate
To be considered for this role, you must have:

  1. HNC, HND, or Degree in Civil Engineering.
  2. Proven experience as a Site Engineer within rail or civil infrastructure.
  3. A valid PTS (Personal Track Safety).
