Your new role
Story Contracting is currently undertaking a significant highways project in Grizebeck, South Cumbria. The project involves the construction of a new 1.4 km bypass and all associated infrastructure.

The works include:

1. Earthworks (cut & fill)
2. Drainage
3. Highways construction
4. Concrete bridges
5. Concrete culverts
6. Reinforced earth walls

You will be responsible for:

1. Setting out and surveying the site using your own equipment
2. Managing and overseeing earthworks, drainage, and highways construction
3. Supervising the construction of concrete bridges, culverts, and reinforced earth walls
4. Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards and within project timelines
5. Documenting and reporting on project progress using Microsoft Office programs

What you'll need to succeed:

1. Own setting out kit and laptop
2. Proficiency in AutoCAD and N4ce volumetrics software
3. Strong experience with Microsoft Office programs
4. Previous experience in similar construction projects
5. Excellent communication and organisational skills
