Reporting Manager Title: Senior Director, Construction Operations, UNCE
Role Context:
Worley is looking to engage a highly motivated and experienced construction expert to join the Construction Function Execution Team as a Construction Director. This role will be responsible for driving successful project outcomes at all project stages starting from Pre-FEED through to FEED, Detail Design, Execution, and Commissioning for EPC/EPCM type contracts to support Worley’s continual growth in the Energy market.
You'll be/do:
- Prioritize the safety, health, and wellbeing of ourselves and others.
- Manage and deliver large, complex, high-risk multi-million £ projects.
- Support Contract/Business Manager in administering contract agreements.
- Administer contract agreements between Worley and its subcontractors.
- Liaise with Worley Global Construction Delivery Group Directorate.
- Implement Company HSE Policy & Plan relating to the Project.
- Implement best practices of Advanced Work Packaging.
- Ensure Execution plan gate criteria readiness and mitigation of execution risks.
- Manage client relationships throughout the project.
- Monitor and control project performance against budget, schedule, and quality.
- Prepare regular project progress and cost reports.
- Identify changes in the scope of work and manage change requests.
- Promote quality and safety on the project.
- Issue directions for job close-out and secure final project acceptance.
- Participate in team selection and appointment of key positions.
- Network with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Seek opportunities for learning and development.
You'll have:
- Several years of leadership experience in the energy or construction area.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience in various contracting models.
- Proven knowledge of managing subcontracts in the execution phase.
- Staff management experience.
- Motivational leadership style with strong communication skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar role or senior position.
- Extensive knowledge of the construction process.
- Delivery-focused and committed to project/company goals.
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Full knowledge of project-specific execution strategies.
- Incident-free mindset and role model for the project team.
- Proven HSSE leadership in managing large complex projects.
- Understanding of project scope integration and interface.
- Excellent teamwork skills.
