Site Chemist / Chemistry Graduate – Hazardous Waste

Salary: Graduate - £28,000 up to £38,000 with hazardous waste SECTOR experience

OPPORTUNITY FOR AN EXPERIENCED HAZARDOUS WASTE SITE CHEMIST OR A CHEMISTRY GRADUATE TO DEVELOP A CAREER WITH A LEADING WASTE MANAGEMENT COMPANY.

LOCATION: East London

ROLE: This role is primarily site-based and would suit a hands-on individual who enjoys working outdoors, as 75% of the work will be conducted on-site with only limited lab work.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Unload and test incoming materials for pH, flammability, and compatibility for bulking.
2. Ensure that all goods are correctly labelled and complete all relevant paperwork.
3. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company policies.

EXPERIENCE:

Due to the location, a driving licence is essential. You could be an experienced Site Chemist, Process Chemist, Technical Assessor, Transfer Station Chemist, Laboratory Technician, Industrial Chemist, Shift Chemist, or Reception Chemist with a HNC or above.

You may also be a Chemistry or Biochemistry Graduate looking for your first role. HNC Minimum required.

Any forklift experience or yard/warehouse experience is a plus, but full training is given.

You will demonstrate a willingness to work outside and may have interests that demonstrate that (e.g., playing outdoor sports, Duke of Edinburgh, previous jobs, outdoor enthusiast).
