Site Agent - Civils

Elvet Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Civil Engineering Site Manager / Site Agent on behalf of an international tier 1 civil engineering contractor to work on a large ongoing project around the Leeds area.

The contractor has a huge name in the industry for delivering quality & results for clients across the UK & further afield. They are looking to add to their team with the addition of another Site Engineer, initially working on a large highways project near Leeds (2 years duration). Further work secured across the North of England following this. Project values with this team: £100m to £1bn+.

On offer is also the opportunity to take advantage of this leading contractor's major development plan for staff. Central to this development are the Engineers, Site Agents & Site Managers as they will grow to be the next cohort of senior management within this business. They are passionate about training plans and funding degrees/tickets & chartership for their staff to always increase their capabilities across the business.

Responsibilities as Agent / Manager:

1. Manage project sections at all stages
2. Writing & updating site documentation
3. Cost control with QS & commercial counterparts
4. Attend meetings on sites
5. Temporary Works management & involvement with lift plans
6. Management of sub-contractors
7. Construction Phase Plans
8. Project reports
9. Daily H&S checks on site
10. Daily briefings with Sub Agents & Works Managers on sections
11. Keeping site file up to date regularly

Experience required:

1. Proven experience at Site Manager / Site Agent level with a principal contractor on Civil Engineering / Highways projects (values £50m+)
2. Site Engineer background is advantageous
3. Experience managing work on high speed road networks / motorways
4. Experience with contract changes, NEC3 / NEC4, cost control desired
5. Industry related qualification is beneficial (HNC/HND or Degree)
6. Must hold: SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid and Full Driver's License

Remuneration:

A salary of up to £64,000 (dependent upon experience) plus:
