Job description

Site Agent

Location: Swanley, Kent / Initial project in Basildon

Permanent Vacancy

Salary: As discussed upon application £55,000 – £70,000 + generous benefits

A Site Agent is required to join a large well-known contractor based in Kent. The initial project is based in Basildon, Essex, and you will play a key role in the daily management of construction and civil engineering activities for rail infrastructure projects. You will be involved with various civils projects including bridge reconstruction/replacement, upgrades and refurbishments, stations, platforms, and flood repair and alleviation on C2C infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

  1. Contract execution to their T&Cs and H&S plans
  2. Budget management
  3. Progress monitoring
  4. Reporting issues and results

The successful candidate must have experience working as a Site Agent or Senior Site Agent in a rail/civils environment, experience working on heavy piling works associated with major civils schemes and station upgrade projects. You must also hold a valid SMSTS and PTS upon application, and the ideal candidate will hold a degree/HNC/HND in civil engineering or equivalent. A suitable trade-off to no formal qualification is heavy experience in the above.
