Currently, we are assisting a prominent civil engineering contractor in their search for an experienced and skilled Site Agent to join their growing team. This contractor has a strong reputation for delivering large-scale, high-quality civil engineering projects across Scotland, and is looking for a dynamic professional to take the lead on site management.

Role Overview:

As a Site Agent, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of civil engineering projects from start to finish. You will ensure that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The role offers flexibility to be based anywhere in Scotland, as long as you are willing to travel to various sites across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Project Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
  2. Team Leadership: Manage site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring effective communication and high-performance standards.
  3. Health & Safety: Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
  4. Quality Control: Ensure that all work complies with relevant quality standards and procedures.
  5. Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  6. Documentation & Reporting: Keep accurate records of site activities, and provide regular progress reports to senior management.
  7. Resource Management: Manage materials, plant, and labor to ensure the efficient running of the site.
  8. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation measures to ensure smooth project delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  1. Minimum HND Qualification in Civil Engineering.
  2. Proven Experience in site management within the civil engineering sector, particularly on large-scale projects.
  3. Strong Understanding of construction processes, project planning, and site management.
  4. Excellent Leadership Skills with the ability to manage and motivate site teams effectively.
  5. In-depth Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices in civil engineering projects.
  6. Effective Communication Skills, both written and verbal.
  7. Willingness to Travel to various sites across Scotland as required.
  8. Full clean UK driving license is essential.

Desirable:

  1. Experience with projects across various sectors such as infrastructure, roads, utilities, and large civil works.
