Job overview:

A SRDC potato shunter is a vital role in the manufacturing process. The role is essential to ensure a smooth flow of trailers on and off the intake bays to manufacturing. Using the SRDC shunt units, the role will require traveling a short distance to other PepsiCo sites to collect and drop off trailers.

Position summary:

Salary: £36,192.91

Working Hours: 4 on 4 off shift pattern. Alternating days and nights. 12-hour shifts.

Location: Leicester SRDC-GBR, Bursom Road Walkers Snacks Distribution Ltd LeicesterLE4 1EX

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure KPIs are delivered.
2. Ensure that all standards - safety, hygiene, service, and productivity KPIs - are maintained.
3. Support the safety program through the Near Miss program.
4. Ensure punctual trailer flow on and off the potato intake bays.
5. Identify service risks and act accordingly.

Qualifications:

1. HGV1 license (due to H&S/legal requirements for driving on the external road).
2. Bags of energy with a drive and interest for personal results.
3. Strong team player & contribute to improving team results.
4. Proven record of high personal performance and high safety standards.
5. High quality focus demonstrated at all times.
6. Excellent attendance & reliability record.
7. Flexible approach with the ability to work at a fast pace and prioritize tasks.
8. Constantly looking for improvements and a better way forward during their daily role.
