Showroom Host - Battersea / London

Full-time: Monday to Saturday (on rotation), 9:30am-6pm

Role Overview:
As a Showroom Host, you are a Brand Ambassador, supporting the Harvey Jones client journey in your showroom. Your role is crucial in optimizing showroom coverage, both in person and through facilitating Designers' and Design Assistants' diary management. You will deliver first-class engagement and rapport building, leading to booking time for Designers' Discovery sessions from both walk-in leads and telephone inquiries. This role enables Kitchen Designers to dedicate maximum time to sales and design activities while ensuring the production, procurement, and installation functions work with specifications that support a right-first-time approach, minimizing error, remedial cost, and delay.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Showroom Upkeep and Maintenance:
  1. Ensure health & safety compliance.
  2. Manage stationery stock orders and monitor supplies.
  3. Maintain showroom presentation, including visual props.
  4. Oversee cleaner’s management and maintain the showroom maintenance checklist.

Administration Duties:
  1. Manage client communication, filing, and petty cash.
  2. Handle showroom diary management to ensure sales cover.
  3. Meet and greet walk-in prospective clients in the absence of a sales designer, following the training provided.
  4. Issue reports to different functions/management as requested and ensure they are recorded in the appropriate communication channel (e.g., KPIs of the role and petty cash management).

Client Engagement:
  1. Provide a warm welcome to potential clients when no Kitchen Designer is present or available.
  2. Ensure conversations align with company brand guidelines and support the onward client journey.
  3. Calling customers who have requested a brochure to qualify their interest and potentially arrange a Discover session with a sales Designer.

Person Profile:
We are looking for unique individuals at Harvey Jones, ideally with previous experience in a client-facing role. You will need to be able to build rapport, listen to customers’ needs, and inspire confidence in the Harvey Jones brand. You should have excellent organizational skills and the ability to plan ahead.

You should be:
  • Well-presented, articulate, and confident in conversing with high-spending customers.
  • Able to build rapport and identify selling opportunities while inspiring confidence and influencing decisions.
  • Ambitious and self-motivated, a real go-getter.
  • Willing to adhere to and follow company processes.
  • Highly organized, able to manage multiple projects.
  • A strong problem solver who can think outside the box to create solutions.
  • In possession of a driver’s license and own vehicle (depending on the showroom location).
  • Available to work Saturdays.
