Our Legal 500 and highly regarded client are seeking an experienced lawyer with 3-5 years PQE to join their dynamic Marine team in Bournemouth.

This role offers the chance to work with a wide range of clients in both the Leisure Marine and Commercial Shipping sectors, with a particular focus on yachts and superyachts, though other relevant marine experience is also valued.

You'll handle a variety of legal matters involving yachts, superyachts, commercial shipping, and related sectors. You can expect to work on a client base including marine insurers, vessel owners, operators, dealers, managers, shipyards, and port authorities, giving you the opportunity to build relationships across the industry. This is a client-facing role that includes travel and provides an excellent opportunity to establish a niche within the marine sector.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate either litigation or transactional experience in marine law or those with broader legal backgrounds and a strong interest in the marine industry. You should have solid technical knowledge, excellent communication and organisational skills.
