DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager. This role involves working closely with the on-site operational team to develop a deep understanding of key customer needs and ensure the site meets their expectations. By analyzing customer forecasts, the Warehouse Shift Manager will oversee resource planning to maintain seamless operations and deliver exceptional service.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

  • Prepare, monitor and report operational KPIs as required ensuring at all times an improvement in service to the client is maintained.
  • Ensure the contract complies with all Health & Safety regulations and company processes.
  • Act as a point of contact between internal departments and customers, ensuring information is disseminated.
  • Manage labour resources and costs—ensure correct team coverage across all operational shifts to cover volumes. Reduce staffing as agreed with the customer.
  • Deliver team member performance reviews and regular feedback to employees regarding work rate, performance, attitude and development.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

  • At least 12 months of experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of management experience and 3 years in warehouse operations is required.
  • Strong IT proficiency.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
