SHIFT LEADER - MANUFACTURING

TELFORD

PANAMA'S DAYS AND NIGHTS

£38,030.54 per annum (£18.17 per hour)

A market-leading manufacturing business is currently looking to recruit a new Shift Leader, who has a proven track record of driving improvements in plant objectives and strategic goals. You will play a leading role in the development of shop floor capabilities, as well as champion all manufacturing projects.

Role Description

  1. Responsible for Safety, Health and Environmental objectives and fostering a safety culture within the manufacturing function.
  2. Flexibility on working time - requirement to work flexible shifts to support production and projects.
  3. Able to plan and organise workload of self and others and follow through on actions.
  4. Ensure full job rotation is applied according to EHS/Ergo needs/recommendations.
  5. Day-to-day management of the production team, focusing on labour efficiency, OEE, and scrap to achieve targets.
  6. Lead, manage, and coach operatives.
  7. Ensure training and development needs are addressed for all team members.
  8. Increase employee engagement and leadership effectiveness by owning the strategy for communication and involvement.

Skills and Qualifications

  1. Management qualification would be beneficial.
  2. Experience of working in manufacturing.
  3. High level of leadership and management experience.
