This role involves performing essential maintenance, repairs, and calibration to ensure the reliability of critical assets. The position offers a shift rotation of 4 on 4 off, providing a balanced work-life schedule. Candidates should possess an NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification and have a strong understanding of Health and Safety regulations. Job description

My Client is looking for an electrically biased engineer to join a critical maintenance team at a datacentre that powers one of the UK's leading banking organizations.


Shift rotation is on a 4 on 4 off rota (Days & nights): 7am - 7pm and 7 pm - 7 am.


Salary: up to 48K.


Responsibilities:
  1. Performing maintenance, repairs, and calibration to ensure reliability.
  2. Meeting key performance indicators and service standards.
  3. Coordinating with external contractors and suppliers when needed.
  4. Completing required documentation and reports accurately and on time.
  5. Adhering to company policies and safety procedures.
  6. Reporting deficiencies in work systems or equipment.

Requirements and Skills:
  1. NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification in Engineering Maintenance.
  2. Knowledge of building Statutory Compliance.
  3. Understanding of Health and Safety at Work Act (1974).
  4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  5. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  6. Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Specialized Experience (Highly Desirable):
  1. Experience with critical assets like UPS and Standby Generators.
  2. Low Voltage Appointed Person certification.
