An established industry player is seeking a skilled Shift Electrician to join their team in the Burton Joyce area. This permanent position offers a competitive salary of £48K plus overtime and involves working 12-hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off pattern. The successful candidate will be responsible for site electrical maintenance, installations, and upgrades while ensuring efficient factory operations. With extensive electrical experience in a continuous process environment, you will troubleshoot and solve electrical issues while collaborating with the Shift Team Leader. Shift Electrician

Burton Joyce area

Permanent

£48K plus overtime

12-hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights)

As a Shift Electrician, your duties and responsibilities will be to carry out site electrical maintenance, installation, and upgrades around the plant whilst providing production support.

Duties include:

  • To liaise with the Shift Team Leader to ensure the efficient running of the factory.
  • Understand all factory operations, including steam raising plant, odour control, and effluent treatment plant.
  • Monitor all electrical equipment to ensure efficient operation.
  • Carry out breakdown repairs, as able, to factory equipment in a timely manner.
  • Site electrical installations and upgrade work, as designated by the Electrical Team Leader.
  • Carry out routine electrical or mechanical maintenance according to planned maintenance schedules.
  • To be on call for a proportion of the time.

In order to be considered you will have:

  • Served a recognised City and Guilds Electrical Apprenticeship.
  • Extensive electrical experience working in a continuous process environment and handling electrical maintenance and breakdowns.
  • Proven experience with fault finding, be able to troubleshoot and solve process problems.
  • Be conversant with basic PLC logic and inverter drives.
  • Basic mechanical skills and experience of plant operations.
