Job description

Location: Pollington, East Riding of Yorkshire

Join H+H, a leader in the construction industry! We're looking for a talented Shift Electrical Engineer to help in ensuring operational efficiency and provide immediate assistance for equipment breakdowns. If you have a knack for problem-solving and a passion for engineering, we want to hear from you! This role works on a shift pattern alongside the production teams, covering Monday to Sunday.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conducting both reactive and preventative maintenance on electrical equipment
  2. Monitoring plant performance
  3. Maintaining cleanliness in the workshop and factory areas
  4. Contributing to improvement initiatives and participating in project discussions.
Requirements
  1. Time served or suitably recognised qualification in production or Electrical Engineering (e.g. ONC, EAL level 3 NVQ in Electrical Engineering)
  2. Demonstrable practical experience in both reactive and preventative electrical maintenance
  3. Understanding of basic programming to allow fault PLC finding
  4. Strong problem-solving skills
  5. Team player with excellent communication
  6. Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and experience in relevant software (e.g. design and calculation software)
  7. Safety conscious with proficient knowledge of health and safety regulations
  8. Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and implement controls to mitigate risks to safe levels.
