SHEQ Manager required for a packaging manufacturer based in Norwich.

SHEQ Manager - Packaging Position Overview

1. Operates in a safe way and complies with the appropriate Health & Safety legislation in all areas of its activities.
2. Conducts appropriate staff inductions and training to allow for safe and competent working. And provides a safe well-maintained environment for our team and any contractors or visitors.
3. Adheres to, improves and exceeds requirements of all current and future accreditations that we hold such as ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, BRCGS, SEDEX, FSC, Eco Vadis etc.
4. Regular Health & Safety reviews and process updates in line with legislation and company policy.
5. Completion of all audits - regulatory and customer audits.
6. Providing audit training internally and facilitate internal audits.
7. Completion of customer data requests and compliance requests.
8. Compliance with all legislation related to running a manufacturing site e.g. licenses to operate machinery, vehicles, maintenance of the physical site.

SHEQ Manager - Packaging Position Requirements

1. A thorough knowledge of a manufacturing environment; knowledge of the print and packaging sector would be highly beneficial.
2. A thorough understanding of Health & Safety requirements for a manufacturing facility. Current qualifications and certifications for a Health & Safety manager.
3. Good team working, organizational, and communication skills. Understanding not only the requirements of the SHEQ department but also the wider business.
4. Be able to demonstrate problem solving in a logical repeatable way.
5. Be able to demonstrate multi-tasking capabilities and prioritization of tasks.
6. A calm approach and a desire to be part of a successful and progressive team.

SHEQ Manager - Packaging Position Remuneration

1. Starting salary of circa £35k.
2. 26 days holiday.
3. Workplace pension scheme.
4. Addition to DIS and PMI schemes after 12 months service.
