In this role, you'll be responsible for leading SHEQ performance. Working across a series of Distribution Network Operator (DNO) Electrical Framework Contracts, covering projects across the UK.

What will you be doing?

We're looking for someone to take charge of all SHEQ aspects, ensuring compliance with company, client, and legislative conditions.

• Build and retain a skilled team
• Develop and deliver the Contract SHEQ Plan
• Drive continual improvement
• Present performance data at meetings
• Propose improvements
• Maintain competence processes
• Lead incident investigations
• Support NERS delivery
• Collaborate with Central SHEQ team

You will have direct report of 6-8 people and you will have a "spark" for the role.

We are looking for an individual who is keen to make their mark and support the Divisional Director in improving our (already excellent) performance. You will be key in helping to develop the culture within the contract teams and define improvement plans.

We are looking for an individual with a pro-active approach rather than just a compliance / audit / trending approach.

You will travel to sites as and when needed, including overnight stays, so you'll need a full UK driving licence for this role.

One day per week (normally) is based from home, and the rest is in client sites one day per week and at regional centres housing our staff for the rest.

What you'll bring

• Knowledge of utilities or construction sector, with a bias on CDM Principal Contractor work
• Confidence and ability to engage with clients and stakeholders at all levels
• Drive contract forward with innovation and new ways of working
• Visible Health & Safety leadership with a strong background in compliance
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate
• Full UK driving licence with the ability to stop overnight in site locations
