Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Metal Worker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in metal fabrication and assembly, with hands-on experience in working with sheet metal, ideally within the aerospace setting. This role requires mechanical knowledge and proficiency in using various hand tools and equipment to produce high-quality metal products.

Responsibilities

  1. Fabricate and assemble metal components according to specifications and technical drawings.
  2. Utilise sheet metal techniques to cut, grind, weld, and shape materials as required.
  3. Operate hand tools and machinery safely and effectively to ensure precision in work output.
  4. Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.
  5. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  6. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve production processes.

Experience
  1. Proven experience in metalworking.
  2. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  3. Proficiency in using hand tools and machinery relevant to metal fabrication.
  4. Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
  5. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Working hours: 07:00 - 15:30 Monday - Thursday, 12:00 Friday.
