Job description

Job Title: SHE Coordinator

Location: Northwich

Salary: up to £42k

Basic Hours: Monday to Friday

Contract / Permanent: Permanent

Site Based / Office / Remote: Office based

We are looking for a SHE Coordinator to play a key role in upholding and championing safety standards across our operational site. Working closely with the SHEQ Manager, you'll support the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives and ensure a robust and proactive SHE culture is maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Carry out daily safety walkdowns and reviews of on-site activities
  2. Act as a key point of contact for SHE event reporting, investigations, and action follow-up
  3. Deliver SHE inductions and training to staff, contractors, and visitors
  4. Coordinate risk assessment and method statement reviews
  5. Contribute to safety communications, toolbox talks, and SHE bulletins
  6. Support environmental compliance, waste management, and site recycling initiatives
  7. Assist with internal audits, contractor assessments, and safety meetings
  8. Play an active role in promoting site-wide safety culture and initiatives
What We're Looking For:
  1. 1-3 years' experience in a SHE role, ideally within an industrial or COMAH-regulated environment
  2. Working knowledge of UK SHE legislation and standards (e.g. COSHH, PUWER, LOLER, PSSR)
  3. NEBOSH General Certificate (or currently working towards)
  4. Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with people at all levels
  5. A proactive, detail-focused individual who leads by example
