The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service would like to invite applications for the post of Utilities Management Officer working within the Environment and Carbon Team. This role will primarily deal with the auditing and processing of energy invoicing (electricity, gas, water, and heating fuels), collating utilities information to assist SFRS in meeting its carbon reduction targets and utility budgeting. The location for this post is flexible.
This is a full-time post; however, applications from individuals seeking to work on a part-time, job share, or flexible working basis would be considered.
You will be educated to HNC in building services or be able to demonstrate equivalent experience. You will have good verbal and oral communication skills, be IT literate, and have a good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
This full-time post is permanent and will require standard recruitment vetting. You will work 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on flexible working hours between 7am - 7pm.
Applicants must be a British citizen, a member of the EU or other states in the EEA, a Commonwealth citizen, or a foreign national free of restrictions. You should also have been resident in the UK for a minimum of three years immediately prior to application.

Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to regular review in line with the SFRS performance appraisal arrangements. A higher salary placing will be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrated.
This post is also subject to the provision of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exemptions) Scotland Order 2013. Therefore, the successful candidate will be subject to a Standard Disclosure record check through Disclosure Scotland.
