ServiceNow System Administrator

UK (Manchester, Cheltenham, or London) or Spain (Madrid)

Role Purpose

The ServiceNow Certified System Administrator plays a pivotal role in maintaining, managing, and supporting the ServiceNow platform within our cybersecurity firm. This position ensures that the platform remains secure, efficient, and adaptable to evolving business needs. As the primary point of contact for both internal and customer support tickets, the System Administrator oversees daily platform operations, implements configuration changes, sets up integrations, and sets up SSO connections. Their commitment to excellence ensures a stable, reliable environment for all users.

Summary

  • Platform Administration: Oversee daily operations of the ServiceNow platform, including proactive system monitoring, comprehensive configuration management, and performance optimization to ensure maximum efficiency and uptime.
  • User and Access Management: Administer user accounts, roles, and permissions to enforce robust access controls and safeguard data integrity.
  • System Maintenance & Upgrades: Conduct routine maintenance, rigorously test and implement upgrades, and apply security patches to keep the platform current and secure.
  • Customer ITSM Integration & SSO Setup: Collaborate directly with customers to configure ITSM-to-ITSM integrations via our custom integration platform, or configure seamless single sign-on (SSO) setups.
  • Platform Support & Problem Management: Act as the primary support contact for internal employees and customers, efficiently addressing incidents, service requests, and troubleshooting platform-related issues.
  • Documentation & Training: Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation and provide targeted training to enhance user proficiency and maximize platform utilization.
  • Process Improvement: Work closely with the ServiceNow Team Lead and external stakeholders to identify and implement operational enhancements that streamline processes and optimize the ServiceNow environment.

What we are looking for in you

Minimum Requirements

  • Certification as a ServiceNow System Administrator
  • In-depth knowledge of ServiceNow platform administration, configuration, and maintenance best practices
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow scripting for workflow customizations and minor enhancements
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow Client & Server APIs for integration support
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with an emphasis on proactive monitoring and problem resolution
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks concurrently and meet established deadlines
  • Proactive mindset with strong problem-solving skills

Desirable Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience in ServiceNow system administration or a similar role
  • Understanding of cybersecurity monitoring systems such as SIEM’s, EDR’s etc.
  • Additional relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CSI, CISM)
  • Experience with the CSM module
  • Experience with the UI Builder
