Reporting directly to the Jigsaw Support Services (JSS) line manager, you will conduct a wide range of activities, from on-site inspections and maintenance to customer interaction and equipment handling. This role involves travel, hands-on equipment management, and adherence to high standards in safety and operational procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Planning and Operations

  • Attend weekly planning meetings to forecast workload, budget allocation, and route optimization for upcoming customer visits.
  • Organize and load required equipment into the van before travel; unload and perform housekeeping duties in the warehouse upon return.
  • Securely store all equipment in the vehicle, ensuring it is well-maintained and prepared for travel (fuel, oil, water levels, etc.).
  • Verify Goods in Transit documentation and maintain a clean and orderly vehicle.

Site Work

  • Confirm site-specific Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) and ensure site safe isolation.
  • Use the Jigsawsafe mobile application (in-house software; training provided) to complete job tasks, record job data, and manage job status in real-time.
  • Coordinate with any sub-contractors on-site, ensuring they follow JSS policies and safety standards.
  • Communicate with inverter/equipment suppliers on-site to verify system operability and troubleshoot issues if necessary.
  • Confirm customer satisfaction before leaving the site, ensuring the site is left as found and requesting feedback through the mobile app.

Office-Based Activities

  • When in the office, support customer calls to discuss and plan future activities, and update job completion data in required data sheets.
  • Assist with receiving deliveries, recording goods in the warehouse, and maintaining organized stock.
  • Other tasks as assigned by the line manager, both in-office and on-site.

Driving and Safety Compliance

  • Drive vehicles safely and in compliance with UK/local traffic regulations.
  • Conduct tasks at heights working on roofs, scaffolding, and within confined spaces, such as attics, adhering to Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Maintain awareness of safety protocols and report any potential safety issues to the line manager.

Required Qualifications:

  • Driving License: Full UK license with under 6 penalty points (necessary for van insurance).
  • Physical Requirements: Must be physically fit and able to work at heights and in confined spaces; colour vision clarity is essential.
  • Electrical Qualification: Advantageous but not essential as full training will be given.
