Position: Support Team Leader
Location: Middlesbrough
Salary: From £30,000
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with on-call 1-2 times per month

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Support Team Leader to join our Middlesbrough-based service, overseeing a team of 20 staff members. This service supports individuals with mental health challenges and learning disabilities, ensuring a fully staffed and structured environment for gradual occupancy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead, motivate, and manage a frontline support team, ensuring high-quality care and support.
  2. Provide hands-on leadership, working within the rota and offering local on-call support.
  3. Mentor and develop staff, overseeing training and induction processes.
  4. Build positive relationships with individuals, families, and external stakeholders.
  5. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, conducting assessments and corrective actions as needed.
  6. Manage budgets and resources efficiently to meet service demands.
  7. Maintain clear and effective communication across the team and key stakeholders.

Essential Requirements:

  1. Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or working towards it).
  2. Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role within health and social care.
  3. Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  4. Understanding of regulatory requirements for mental health and learning disabilities.
  5. Excellent communication and IT proficiency.
  6. Full UK driving licence with business use insurance.
