Job description

HIU Service & Maintenance Engineer

Toro Recruitment is seeking an experienced HIU Service & Maintenance Engineer to join the O&M Residential Team for one of our trusted clients operating across Greater London.

This role focuses on delivering high-quality servicing and repairs to a variety of Heat Interface Units (HIUs) within residential heat networks.

Key Responsibilities of HIU Service & Repair Engineer:

  • Conduct routine servicing and repairs of Heat Interface Units across residential properties.
  • Diagnose faults and carry out necessary part replacements with a variety of HIU brands.
  • Attend reactive callouts and participate in the on-call rota (approx. 1 week in 4).
  • Support site-based project works and contribute to developing scopes for plant remediation.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date service records and ensure compliance with safety protocols.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience servicing and repairing HIUs.
  • Familiarity with mechanical schematics and technical drawings (e.g., P&IDs).
  • Basic electrical knowledge and competency in mechanical and electrical safe isolation.
  • Valid UK driving licence (held for at least 12 months).
  • Part P and Part G qualified (or willing to obtain).
