Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.
About the Role
As a Service Lead, you will be based in Nelson with travel to Blenheim as required. This is a leadership position with three Team Leader reports. Our service focus is on the importance of caring for both the children who come to us, their primary caregivers, and whanau in enabling them to take a short break. This enables the person we support to experience time away from home and provides primary caregivers time for themselves or with other siblings or whanau.
Service Lead roles are busy and at times hectic. Staffing shortages and other daily challenges mean you will need to be flexible, think fast, be resilient, and have a great sense of humor. You will receive support from your manager and other Service Leads along with external supervision.
You will be working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE).
About the Team/Service/Location
Our three homes are located in Stoke, Nelson, and Blenheim. The service has a number of support workers reporting to each Team Lead who work across the week and also in school holiday programmes. Children access the service and are scheduled for their stay in consultation with the Team and their family members.
