Service Engineer - Solar

Astute's Renewables Team is partnering with an established and leading renewable energy provider specialising in commercial solar installations, maintenance, and energy storage solutions. Together we are looking to recruit a Service Engineer supporting existing and new commercial assets in the London area, inside the M25.

The Service Engineer role comes with a salary up to £45,000, company vehicle, fuel card and further development in the solar sector.

Responsibilities and duties of the Service Engineer role

Reporting to the O&M Manager you will:

1. Service and repair solar PV systems, conducting replacement of equipment and inverters.
2. Conduct rooftop inspections and carry out minor mechanical and electrical repairs.
3. Perform system diagnostics and fault-finding.
4. Install monitoring systems and complete firmware upgrades.
5. Support with solar PV installation tasks.
6. Assist with panel cleaning when required to support panel optimisation (as a second man).

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

1. 18th Edition Wiring regulations are essential.
2. Previous experience working with rooftop solar.
3. A full clean driving license.
4. Experience with Operations and Maintenance tasks is desirable.
