Job description

My client is looking to employ an Installation & Commissioning Engineer to install and put into operation our range of conveying systems throughout the UK (primarily within the NHS estate). My client is a national company with their main portfolio in the specialist fields of Pneumatic Tube Transport Systems and Industrial Vacuum Machines.


The Role:

  1. The position of Installation & Commissioning Engineer (field based) requires an Electro/Mechanical skilled person to work independently or as part of a small installation team.
  2. You will be installing and putting into operation the equipment we market throughout the UK, most of the work is carried out within the healthcare or construction environment.
  3. The works are predominantly mechanical but you must have good electrical knowledge and sound logical thinking to be able to fault find and commission newly installed equipment.

The successful candidate will:

  1. Be able to complete electro/mechanical installations including handover, acceptance testing and user training.
  2. Be conversant with construction drawings and schematics.
  3. Have strong customer facing skills and interpersonal aptitudes to work with or assist other engineers, managers, and staff.
  4. Be IT literate and able to use the company's software systems.
  5. Be aware and decisive in approach.

Experience & Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 2 years Electro/mechanical installation experience within a construction related environment.
  2. Holding a recognised Electro/mechanical qualification will be an advantage.
  3. Holding a recognised Health & Safety certification (CCNSG/CSCS/SSSTS) is beneficial and essential in areas of work, however, training will be given.
  4. Full DBS disclosure is required in the event of the position being offered, to be paid for by the Company.
  5. A valid full Driving Licence is required.
