Service Engineer

Service Engineer / Service Technician required to join an automated machinery manufacturer.

The Service Engineer / Field Service Technician will need to live in or around Sheffield, be willing to cover UK wide, and must have electro-mechanical service & maintenance experience.

The successful Service Engineer / Field Service Technician will carry out service, installation and breakdown visits on a wide range of automated machinery similar to packaging equipment.

Role

1. Carry out pre-planned Service, Installation and Breakdown visits on a wide range of automated machinery electro-mechanical equipment.
2. Liaise with various engineering departments.
3. Perform preventive maintenance to minimise downtime and optimise machine performance.
4. Provide on-site training and service support to customers.
5. Diagnosing and repairing technical issues on electromechanical machinery.
6. Remotely based in or around Sheffield covering UK wide.
7. Full product training provided.

Requirements

1. Experience as a Service Engineer, Service Technician, Systems Engineer, Electrical Engineer, or similar maintenance role.
2. Service / maintenance background - electro-mechanical experience.
3. Prior knowledge of automated machinery, packaging machinery, or similar electro-mechanical equipment is beneficial.
4. Electrical or mechanical engineering qualification - Apprentice trained, NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC, HND or would be advantageous.
5. Full UK driving license.
6. Flexible for overtime/part of the on-call rota.
