Our client, a market leader in high-quality slitting and rewinding machinery, is seeking a skilled Service/Installation Engineer to join their International Machine Support Department based in Ipswich, Suffolk.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong electro/mechanical engineering background who is ready to travel worldwide to support their growing customer base. Are you the right person for the job?

Proven experience in a production machine service/installation environment
Background in electro/mechanical engineering
Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis
Knowledge of machine controls (PLCs) and A.C drive controls
Experience with mechanical engineering, servicing, and repairs
Knowledge of the Converting Industry is an advantage
Based locally in Ipswich or nearby, with the ability to be factory-based when not traveling

What will your role look like?

Provide service and installation support for slitting and rewinding machinery
Travel worldwide regularly to perform installations and servicing
Troubleshoot and repair machinery, ensuring minimal downtime for customers
Work with machine controls PLCs, A.C drive controls, and electro/mechanical components
Perform mechanical engineering tasks including servicing, maintenance, and repairs
Be based in our Ipswich factory when not on-site
