Service Engineer (Recycling Equipment)

A£20 per hour + Lots of Overtime paid at 1.5 & 2.0 (Realistic OTE A£50,000 - A£70,000) + Van + Fuel Card + Credit Card + Laptop + Phone + Uniform + PPE + Paid Door to Door Travel + Call Out 1 in 5 (paid extra) + Pension + 20 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

Service Engineer required for a fast growing industry leading waste management company. The role will suit engineers looking for a professional and employee focused company offering lots of overtime in a team based culture.

For the role, you need electrical and mechanical fault finding and repair experience on industrial equipment. You will be working on conveyors, bailers and similar recycling equipment. You need to be comfortable with travel and regular overnight stops.
You will form part of a team of Service Engineers responsible for pre-planned maintenance visits, reactive breakdowns along with installation and commissioning of new and refurbished recycling equipment. You will also provide training to customers when needed.

This is a great time to join the company as they are rapidly increasing market share and turnover. They provide all the necessary training in a secure role with progression routes.

The Service Engineer Role:

  1. Completing servicing, breakdown/repairs and installation of Recycling and Waste handling equipment
  2. Working alone and part of a team
  3. Frequent overnight stops
  4. Lots of overtime
  5. Call out rota 1 week in 5

The Person Required:
  1. Electrical - Fault finding on control circuits with 24 volt and 3 phase systems
  2. Fault finding and repair to Hydraulic systems
  3. Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
  4. 16th/17th/18th edition or equivalent
  5. Comfortable with travel and stay away when needed
  6. Excellent communication skills
  7. Organised with excellent time management
