Service Engineer

Overview of this position and future progression:

This role, focused in the Bristol area, will begin with you operating as a service engineer, first replacing your employer's products. As you progress, you'll receive specialist-certified training to become a maintenance, repair, and overhaul specialist. You will work alongside customer engineering teams to minimise downtime for machinery and ensure smooth operations.

Service Engineer responsibilities include:

1. Buddy up with an experienced service engineer and travel to clients.
2. Perform routine servicing and maintenance on a range of electric vehicles.
3. Diagnose, repair, and manage air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating/cooling systems.
4. Carry out daily customer visits, providing high-quality maintenance and technical support.
5. Utilise a handheld PDA system for logging work, tracking tasks, and team communication.

Service Engineer desirable skills and education:

1. A relevant qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (NVQ, BTEC, HNC, or degree).
2. Basic hands-on experience with mechanical assembly (study, home projects, or work-based).
3. Ability to follow technical drawings, instructions, and assembly procedures.
4. Willingness to learn and develop within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
5. Flexible with field service travel / full UK driving license (max 6 points).
