Job description

Job Title: Service Desk Expert, Radiology Informatics

Join our Enterprise Imaging (EI) Service Desk team in the UK with responsibility for delivering service to our Radiology Informatics products (Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS). You will join a virtual cross geography community of experienced engineers, delivering support to our customers across the UK and Ireland.

The main goal will be:

  • Deliver an excellent standard of support to our customers.
  • Identify and suggest improvements for the benefit of Operational KPIs.
  • Improve and consolidate RI product lines competencies.

Your role:

  • Be the Technical specialist providing technical support across our deployed systems.
  • Be the main contributor/controller/driver regarding Knowledge Base for Country.
  • Assess and grow your technical knowledge within our systems for the UK and Ireland install base.
  • Be the SME on high priority/complex issues.
  • Be the local technical champion for Customer crisis management.
  • Assess and review install base records within assigned Geography (including customer contacts).
  • This role can be based from your home in the UK&I with the flexibility to travel to customer site when required.

You're right for the role if:

  • Education: University Degree/Master Degree in IT or equivalent desirable.
  • Experience: Experience in Incident management, Customer Care Support, Service Engineering, or Delivery of software solutions, preferably in Healthcare IT industry.
  • Soft skills:
    • Motivated to work in a hands-on role within the healthcare IT industry.
    • Ability to follow processes that drive improvement and quality.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Self-starter and proactive attitude.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to communicate complex information in a well-structured manner.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish solid relationships.
  • IT/Technical skills:
    • Knowledge and experience with Windows OS including servers and storage solutions.
    • Networking, monitoring, and automation tools - Database (Oracle preferred), SQL.
    • Virtualization solutions (e.g., HyperV).
    • IT Security Policies and Standards.
    • IT system architectures.
    • Scripting languages (Perl, Powershell, Python) (considered as a plus).
    • Troubleshooting skills on different levels (application, database, OS, hardware, networking, etc.).
    • Knowledge of DICOM, Health Level Seven (HL7), and Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) as well as Radiology Workflow.

Due to the role working in the healthcare environment, a standard DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) criminal record check will be required for this role.
