Fleet Controller | UK (Central Region) | £45,000 - £50,000

Are you an experienced Account Manager with the emotional intelligence to manage complex relationships and oversee a major fleet account? Our client is looking for a dynamic and commercially astute Fleet Controller to manage their second-largest account.

This is a key position that offers significant autonomy and the chance to shape the future of a growing and innovative business.
You'll be the driving force behind maintaining and growing relationships with stakeholders, overseeing day-to-day operations, and ensuring that the company's brand is represented to the highest standards. Key responsibilities:

1. Take ownership of servicing second largest account (Fleet of 780 wagons).
2. Build and nurture relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
3. Ensure efficient maintenance processes with a third-party maintenance provider.
4. Collaborate closely with the sales team to identify and drive growth opportunities within the account.
5. Act as the 'figurehead' for the company with client representing the organisation on-site.
6. Handle complex, multi-stakeholder relationships with internal and external partners.

Candidate Essentials:

1. Demonstrable ability to manage complex relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
2. Strong commercial acumen, with experience managing large accounts.
3. Proven experience in the Rail sector or similar high-integrity industries.
4. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to be an effective over-communicator.
5. Resilient and forward-thinking with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Qualifications:

1. Technical understanding or the ability to quickly develop knowledge in a technical environment.
2. Experience managing third-party maintenance contracts and service delivery.
3. Ability to navigate complex environments with multiple stakeholders.

Desirable:

1. A background in commercial sales or business development.
