Salary: Base salary of £27,000 plus Veolia benefits
Additional premiums for:

1. Plus 10% on top of your basic for London location
2. Master's degree

Location: London Rotational
Programme Duration: 2 year programme

Candidate shortlisting will take place week commencing the 21st & 28th April 2025 and the assessment day week commencing the 12th May 2025.

Working Hours: The working hours for this role will be either 6:00 AM until 2:30 PM or 8:30 AM until 5:00 PM.

What you'll be doing:

You will be working in a busy operational depot that manages the waste collection from residential contracts. Over the course of the 2 years, you will be learning all the skills and knowledge to become a Service Delivery Manager.

People:

1. Ensure the safety and well-being of our employees
2. Learn to lead the team and maintain a visible presence for employees on-site and on the rounds
3. Champion inclusion in the workplace and maintain employee engagement
4. Learn how to implement people management processes and procedures in line with company policy
5. Ensure training and competency checks are in place for all roles

Operational:

1. Oversee day-to-day management of all operations, including stock and fleet
2. Develop excellent relationships with client officers and residents, built on trust and service delivery
3. Identify, propose and justify potential improvements to plant and equipment
4. Monitor operational and safety performance by investigating safety incidents and following up on complaints, under performance, and disciplinary incidents
5. Provide solutions to operational challenges
6. Delivery of a first-time collection culture and all contractual performance KPI's
7. Learn to lead our people and assets to deliver/exceed service expectations and support the wider team as and when needed

What we're looking for:

1. Degree-level qualification in environmental sciences, engineering or business management (to be achieved by Sept 2025)
2. Excellent communication and written skills
3. Eager to learn and passionate
4. Creative problem-solving and a passion for trying new ideas
5. Practical outlook to problem-solving
6. Good communication and interpersonal skills
7. Ability to work as part of a team
8. Willingness to learn new things and develop
9. An enthusiastic, creative and solution-oriented thinker
10. Driver's Licence (willingness to get one as travel is essential within this role)
